The thing about holding someone’s hand is the fact that you are giving another person a part of you and expecting them to not let go.
Because you were willing to hold on a little bit tighter than them and you expect them to do the same.
You expect them to let their guards down as you have when you took the risk amidst the fear or rejection.
You were willing for them.
And sometimes,
they just won’t hold on a little bit tighter.
Sometimes,
they’d let go a little bit earlier.
Sometimes,
they’d even let that part of you drop to the floor.
But that’s okay.
Because someday,
someone will never let go.
Someone will hold on.
Someone will be more than willing.
Someone will fit your hand perfectly.
